Express Entry is an online federal immigration system for individuals and their family members, who have the qualifications and skills that will contribute to Canada’s long term economic development. Express Entry system consists of 3 programs with different eligibility requirements:

Federal Skilled

Federal Skilled

Experience Class

Individuals who meet one of the 3 program’s eligibility requirements, can enter the Express Entry pool by profile creation. Based on merit of qualifications each candidate in the pool is assigned a score called “Comprehensive Ranking System” (CRS). IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) performs regular draws from the pool and identifies candidates who are ranked over the cut-off score. Then, these candidates receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for submitting an electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR) in the following 60 days. When the eAPR is approved, the applicant and dependent family members, who are included in the application will be granted Canadian permanent resident status. Express Entry is the most popular and efficient immigration system, as the permanent residency status can be granted in a duration of six months.
